Robocup 2019 Sydney & 2018 Montreal
Participating in Robocup Junior was the experience that solidified my passion for robotics. I was very fortunate to represent my school and Singapore in the international stage.

Robocup Junior 2019 Sydney Onstage
The task was to build robots to make a performance. We managed to win the first place! Our performance had 4 components:
- The highlight was the humanoid-shape (wheeled base) robot called Eve
- A laptop to record my motion and using Openpose for 2D pose detection to send command to Eve
- The guitar playing robot with many servos and a camera to decode a music script
- Repurposed Soccer holonomic robot flashing lights

Post-competition development
After the competition, I extended the project by building an exo-suit to control Eve more directly instead of using the webcam. The exo-suit wrapped around the operator body and it had rotary encoders at the joints to map the joint angle on to Eve.
I demonstrated that in front of the school principal during the school science fair!
Robocup Juinor 2018 Montreal Rescue Line
The task was to build a mobile robot that can track lines with various complications and collect balls in a room
It was not the sleekest robot but it got things done
